Since we are in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic and schools are having to move towards more virtual learning, I am wondering what strategies, hints and helpful tips the more experienced Teacher with GUTS members can give to those who are freshly trained and potentially going to have to teach this in a virtual setting.

I look forward to hearing the response. This would be very engaging and relevant to my students.
I think using Screencast-O-matic would be good to show a model and walk through the code, especially if the students do not have a computer that supports the program or the program works too slow. I would also suggest posting assignments through classkick. There is a "raise-hand" option students can use when they are stuck I find helpful. I haven't taught this content remotely yet, but those are resources I have used in my flipped classroom setting.
